Nature at Heart School's outdoor classes offer an opportunity to collaborate, wonder and explore in and with nature. Grown-ups drop off their child, ages 5-10, for 2-hours a day. The children will use their senses to actively learn about the local environment through guided and self-directed experiences. More time outdoors allows for more nature connections! We provide materials such as magnifying glasses and nature journals to help facilitate deep nature connections.

Classes are held at Chimney Rock Park, 736 Chimney Rock Road. All participants need to wear appropriate seasonal clothing and close-toed shoes.

During this 2-hour class, children ages 2-5 years old alongside a grown-up, will use their senses to actively learn about the local environment through guided and self-directed experiences. More time outdoors allows for more nature connections! We provide materials such as magnifying glasses and nature journals to help facilitate deep nature connections.
